A special medical
air compressor pumps ambient air through a highly
efficient filtration system into a treatment chamber,
pressurizing the interior of the chamber at a constant
level. Special valves ensure constant air exchange
and prevent the buildup of carbon monoxide within
the chamber.
Hyperbaric treatments are designed
to increase the uptake of oxygen in the body. The comfortable
high pressure atmosphere in the chamber causes a super-saturation
of oxygen in the blood plasma and tissue fluids. This
allows the body to utilize oxygen more effectively,
leading to better healing.
